In recent years, the grammatical research of the medieval Chinese has made a big progress, and a few relating paper also been published in succession. This made us understand the medieval ancient Chinese language further, and we can also do research more thoroughly. However, the study to the language character of the particularly book is still very little. To the language characteristic research of some periods of Chinese history are many, but few to the special book language research; To the special book in the function word, the special sentence type, the pronunciation research are many, but few to the full word research; To fill up with this blank, I am going to do a exhausting research to the predicate verbs of the Sou Shen Ji, and then exhibit its linguist features.Verb is the most important in the whole Chinese Grammatical research, and is also the most complicated. The studying of verb is very important to the establishment of grammatical system. This paper focus on the meaning and grammatical functions of the verbs of the Sou Shen Ji,and divided the verbs into eight categories, namely action verbs, state verbs, directional verbs, modal verbs, make ream verbs, verbs of perception, verbs of existence, and verbs of category. Comparing these verbs with which of the Zuo Zhuan so as to present a whole look of the verbs. In the meantime, to provide more substantial evidence material for the phrasing system of the medieval ancient Chinese.The paper adopted the analysis method of "natural language segment", focusing on the investigation of object structure, also linking each special characters:Investigate the active or passive relations between the Subject, Verb and Object so analyse the verbs on the semantic dimension; Fix attention on the combination of the Verb and Object so as to exhibit the features of verbs; Find the difference between similar body of structure through the Object’s structures; Or directly categorize the whole usages of some verb. After comparing with the Zuo Zhuan,we can draw the following conclusions:The lanauge of the Sou Shen Ji is simpler in the words but more diverse in express and it also present the properties of inherition, innovation and specialist.
