A Study On The Predicate Verbs In Guo Yu

Books grammar research is the cornerstone of the history of Chinese grammar research, which has the very vital significance. Guo Yu is one of the important classics in pre-Qin period, and its content is closer to spoken language, which can well reflect the language situation.Among the various parts of speech of Chinese, the verb is a very important part of speech. Verb is the most important grammatical function as predicate in the sentence, so the status of the predicate verb is self-evident.With a rich number and a flexible use, the predicate verb of Guo Yu can well reflect the face of the pre-Qin Chinese predicate verbs. So the author choose it as the research object of the verb. According to their grammatical function and meaning,the predicate verds in Guo Yu can be divided into eight categories:Word verbs, directional verbs, auxiliary verbs, psychological verbs, action verbs, state verbs, verbs of existence, and verbs of comparision. Because of the limited time and energy, we focus on one of the first four kinds of verbs. This paper is composed of introduction, text (five chapters) and epilogue.The introduction part recommend the reason of the topic selection,the significance, research status and methods.The second chapter recommend the classification standards of the verbs, as well as the classification of the internal verb.The third chapter recommend Word verbs, analyse all the word verb usage, focuse on the verb "Wen" and "Yue", and compare with zuo zhuan.The fourth chapter recommend directional verbs, inductive its sentence pattern structure and compare with other verds in oracle and The pre-Qin other literature. The fifth chapter recommend auxiliary verbs, and analyzes all of the words one by one. Special usages are emphasized.The sixth chapter recommend psychological verb, and analyzes the situation of taking an object, adverbial and the complement. In this chapter, we also make a statistical comparative analysis on positive, neutral and negative psychological verb, which are classified from the inside.Finally, we summarize the characteristics of the word verbs, directional verbs, auxiliary verbs and psychological verbs.
