Bondless method, a creative technique, had already appeared in all kinds of ancient painted potteries in the early Neolithic Age, such as the stork fish and stone axes in Fig painted pottery urns and so on. ZhangSengyao,whose works named "concave and convex flower" was also used in "bondless". Until the Northern Song, in Xu Chongsi’s period "boneless" was able to be named officially. Before Xu Chongsi’s period, most of the painters admired ink works and paid attention to the moral integrity of the pen. After that, even though there were many artists creating works as the theme of "boneless flowers" but no one could play the technique of the "boneless" incisively and vividly. So that the work which were used "boneless" technique on the painting did not occupy more important position.Yun shouping, who was in the early Qing Dynasty, pushed "boneless flowers" artistic achievement to the climax by studying the basis "boneless flower" technique of Xu Chongsi, combining the birds and flowers of Song Dynasty and ink flowers of Yuan Dynasty, developing "boneless flowers" rapidly, proceeding the reform and innovation of painting techniques which was based on the traditional technique of "boneless flowers". Nowadays, artistic development become diversitification. When we review the creation couse of the boneless birds and flowers of Yun Shouping, we come to realize that we’d better stick to innovation rather than scholasticism. It also interpret perfectly the theory of "by the ancient open today" which appeared in Bitter gourd monk painting Quotations of Shi Tao.
