Sun Longzhen Shouping Did Not Compare The Style Of Bones And Flowers

The flower-and-bird painting is one of the three major Chinese painting sections.Some simple flower-and-bird images had emerged in the Stone Age.It became an independent painting section later than figure painting and landscape painting.Sunken bone flower-and-bird painting belongs to a significant branch of Chinese flower-and-bird painting art.The emergence of sunken bone style did not only enrich the manifestation of flower-and-bird painting,but also enhanced the development of flower-and-bird painting.In the development process of the sunken bone flower-and-bird painting art,the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty were the two most characteristic periods.Sun Long,a painter in the Ming Dynasty,preferred the freehand “thick pen” of sunken bone;Yun Shouping,a painter in the Qing Dynasty,preferred the neat “fine pen” of sunken bone;both of them played a representative role in the development of sunken bone flower-and-bird painting art.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly summarizes the characteristics,origin and development of sunken bone flower-and-bird painting;the second chapter starts from the painting styles of the painting world as well as the painters' own influence by social cultural environment in the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty;Sun Long's thick pen sunken bone flower-and-bird painting style and Yun Shouping's fine pen sunken bone flower-and-bird painting style are analyzed.The third chapter elaborates the comparison between Sun Long's “thick pen” sunken bone flower-and-bird painting style and Yun Shouping's “fine pen”sunken bone flower-and-bird painting style;under the influence of the flower-and-bird painting in the Song Dynasty as well as the aesthetic trend in the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty,the unique aesthetic characteristics Sun Long's and Yun Shouping's sunken bone flower-and-bone paintings are analyzed.Sun Long's drawing techniques of flower-and-bird painting are different from Yun Shouping's drawing techniques of flower-and-bird painting;Sun Long's style was natural and unrestrained;he drew with colors directly as well as with ease and verve;it may be said that he started a new style at that time,which did not only develop the predecessors' sunken bone style,but also actively innovated based on this.Yun Shouping's style was rigorous;the coloring was elegant and beautiful;the picture was neat and graceful;his paintings changed the previous habits,opened a new style and became the “champion of the generation”.The comparison between Sun Long's and Yun Shouping's sunken bone flower-and-bird painting styles indicates the difference and similarity.The similarity lies in the characteristic revealing of literati's paintings.The fourth chapter investigates the influence of Su Long's and Yun Shouping's sunken bone flower-and-bird painting on the later generations.The development of sunken bone paintings is inseparable from the painters' innovative consciousness and breaking-through spirit.To innovate on the basis of inheriting the tradition is of positive significance in the development of sunken bone flower-and-bird paintings.It also has favorable implications on the contemporary sunken bone flower-and-bird painting art creation to research Sun Long's and YunShouping's painting aesthetic styles and innovative consciousnesses.When researching the sunken bone flower-and-bird painting style of Sun Long and Yun Shouping,this paper conducts a relatively systematic research on artistic characteristics and development evolution of sunken bone flower-and-bird painting to select the essence and discard the gross.On the basis of analysis and comparison,the history and contents are learned.Based on development and innovation,as well as enriching the contents and forms,the new requirements of era development proposed for sunken bone art are satisfied.
