Frege is a great Mathematician and Logician, who is recognized to be the founder of Modern Logicand Analytic Philosophy. Frege adheres to the principles of Logicism, devoted his life to inferenceMathematics from Logic, which provides a solid foundation for the reliability of the mathematics.Although eventually the path of Logicism failed because of the discovery of Russell’s Paradox ", he didn’tachieve it. But Frege establishes formal language and thus to establish a system of first-order predicatecalculus, distinguishes significance from meaning, distinguishes object from concept, which laid thefoundation for the development of Modern Mathematical Logic and Analytic Philosophy. TheCorrespondence Theory of Truth indicates Truth lies in the correspondence relation between language andreality, but Frege insists Truth lies in the force of judgment in sentences, and the force of judgment insentences is guarantee of Truth. The Correspondence Theory of Truth researches on Truth starting fromobjective world, but Frege starts from sentences, logical analysis of sentences, distinguishing betweenconnation and meaning of sentences. Frege’s thoughts of Truth is an important part of Frege’s system ofLogical Philosophy, including the clarification of Logical research object, description of Deflationism ofTruth and special ways of Truth-seeking and principles of Truth-seeking, which determines specialhistorical status of Frege’s thoughts of Truth and significance in study of Modern Logic. This paper is divided into four parts, from four angles to inquiring Frege’s thoughts of Truth. The firstpart mainly illustrates the relationship between Truth and Logic, claims that Truth is object of Logicalresearch, logic is the objective and universal law about Truth. Truth is an very general concept, and Frege’sthoughts of Truth endows Truth special significance for Logic, so clarification of Truth and Logic, is helpful to understand Ferge’s thoughts of truth well. The second part mainly illustrates the concept of Truthin Frege’s thoughts of Truth, properties of Truth, undefinition of Truth, carrier of Truth, expression ofTruth, and relationship between Truth and Thought, which is to clarify the difference between Frege’sthoughts of Truth and traditional theory of Truth. Inquiry into concept of Truth in Frege’s thoughts of Truthconcentrates on sentences, distinguishes sentences from expressing things of sentences, distinguisheslinguistic and non-linguistic. Third part mainly illustrates Truth-seeking ways and principles, which plays akey role in Frege’s thoughts of Truth, haves an important revelatory effect on Modern Logic and AnalyticPhilosophy. Truth-seeking ways and principles is an important part of Frege’s thoughts of Truth, is theguarantee to truth. Fourth part mainly illustrates the significance and influence of Frege’s thoughts of Truth, the impact of Frege’s deflationary description of Truth on modern theory of Truth, Frege’s deflationarydescription of Truth, the significance and impact of Frege’s thoughts of truth on Modern Logic, LogicalPhilosophy, Linguistic Philosophy and Analytical Philosophy. The significance of Frege’s thoughts ofTruth not only lies in the significance of raising it, more importantly, including argument of it, to which iswe should pay attention.Frege’s work was commended by contemporary and future generations, his thoughts of Truth is ofgreat significance, which has an important role in his whole system of thoughts. He creatively studies aseries of philosophical problems about logic and forms unique thoughts of Philosophy of Logic in theprocess of founding Modern Logic, which has a far-reaching influence on later generations. Frege’sthoughts of Truth is the headstream of Modern Logic, Linguistic Philosophy and Analytic Philosophy, soresearch on the theory has important theoretical significance and practical significance for exploring theorigin of Modern Logic, Linguistic Philosophy and Analytic Philosophy and grasping the developingtendency of Modern Logic and Modern Western Philosophy.
