It can be seen that solfeggio teaching in China has evolved from WesternCentralism based on western education system, to localization, emphasizing Chinesecharacteristics through the history of solfeggio teaching. Right until today thelocalized solfeggio teaching has reached deep into people’s heart, and it hasundergone new development and breakthrough with the policy of Cultural Prosperity.This thesis tries to analyze the influence of this cultural policy on the ideas anddevelopment of solfeggio teaching in the background of Cultural Prosperity.Meanwhile, the application of minority national music in the solfeggio teaching willalso be explored with emphasis.The policy of Cultural Prosperity, aimed at providing policy guidance for thedeveloping national culture, was proposed at the sixth plenary session of the17thCentral Committee in2011. The Cultural Prosperity implicates the idea of culturaldiversity and it contrasts with monism led by western centralism. With this policy, thedevelopment of multicultural music represented by China’s minority music has goneinto prosperity; meanwhile, the construction and development of solfeggio teaching inmusic department in universities have also shown its diversity. Theoretically, thediversification of solfeggio teaching, aimed at embracing minority musics, forms aninterrelation--relying on each other, developing with each other, with the renaissanceof minority music and culture.But practically, there are some problems in the diversification of solfeggioteaching, of which the most serious one is lacking understanding towards minoritymusic and culture. Through the statistics of teaching materials, it can be seen althoughChina’s solfeggio teaching material tends to localize and diversify, there is still alimited number of tracks in minority music, which affects the quality of solfeggioteaching. And this problem has been proved by the investigation into the music majorsof two grades in D University, C city. We can find in the investigation that thestudents know little about minority music and culture, and they realize it and want toimprove this in future study. The limitation of teaching material, as well as the problems and desire of the students underline the necessity of adding minoritymusical elements to solfeggio teaching from two aspects.Therefore in the background of Cultural Prosperity, we should construct thesolfeggio teaching system comprehensively, of which the core is to add minoritymusic and culture. This thesis holds that the reformation of solfeggio teaching shouldbe achieved from three aspects: firstly, we should renovate the idea of solfeggioteaching and break the chain of Han centralism on the base of the localization ofsolfeggio ideas to realize its diversification; secondly, we should reform the content ofthe teaching material--on one hand, increase the quantity of minority music; on theother hand, put enough emphasis on the introduction of related musical culture; finally,we should develop diversified solfeggio teaching approaches. We should emphasizeon educating the students’ over-all musical quality, whether in the application ofteaching aid such as musical instrument, or in the professional examination andevaluation system. We wish we can train excellent musical professionals to makecontribution to the development and prosperity of Chinese culture by a series ofimprovement of solfeggio teaching.
