Since1980s, Benfu Zhao, a writer with rich creative achievements has been always active in contemporary Chinese literature. He has always been keeping himself in the local area with his serious and sincere writing attitude and established his outstanding literature and writing style.“Native land”, which is written by him, has already surpassed the “native land” withits realistic meaning. Now it has become a tool to convey his unique life experience and art experience.Generally speaking, nostalgia is an unconscious precipitation deep in the physiological level of the native group; it is also a tangle which an individual life would never get rid of. Especially in China, which has a long history of farming, everyone treasures his motherland deep in the heart, a motherland where he was born and grown up. Therefore, the emotion and love for their motherland would be much deeper. As a writer born in rural area and live in rural area, Benfu also has a strong nostalgia which hides in deep of his heart. As time goes by, it doesn’t disappear, on the contrary, it becomes stronger and stronger as a core in a writer’s life. There is no doubt that nostalgia is not only an essential spirit key but also a key to analyze his works. This essay analyzes the beginning and destination of his works, which aims to describe the article in every aspects and manage the writer’s creating process and spirit direction. Meanwhile, it combines with the characteristics of different places and points out the characters ofBenfu’s literature works in the area of Jiangsu Literature and the value in Chinese contemporary literature. This essay makes the analysis in the following three aspects:The first chapter discusses the complex situation of Zhao Benfu’s agrestic complex froma pair of anti-tradition emotional force, affinity in attachment and deviate from the rebel. Zhao Benfu’s native feelings are complex, on the one hand, it is the dependence to the Yellow River, on the other hand, it is to the criticism of local habit and anxiety of transformation from local civilization to modern civilization, two kinds of feelings intertwined, which makes him lingered in the ideal native and realistic rural construction.The second chapter is discussed from the viewpoint of land worship that the final valuewould be going back to motherland. Zhao Benfu always adheres to the poetic artistic position, finally he established the highest land for his lyrical object. In his works, the land exists in reality, but surpasses the reality. The practical significance of land is the basis of human’s dependence and survival, rather than a realistic sense of the land which is the symbol of future human spirit home.The third chapter focuses on unique charm of Zhao Benfu’s works under the influence ofagrestic complex. On the one hand, Zhao Benfu’s works contain rich regional culture in Subei in the ancient Yellow River culture and long history, at the same time, he highlights thespirit by the actually realized virtual geographic description; On the other hand, Zhao Benfu’slocal writing was deeply affected by mysterious Chinese folk culture and the influence ofLatin American magic realism, his works reveal the mysteries color of aesthetics, and theaesthetic qualities of the generation and performance is with his deep and remote incarnateconstruction, strangeness and colorful narrative art.
