Carrying the ancient village many years precipitation, witnessing the changes of the times, the village which has unique charm, a long-time formation of the original landscape and cultural history reflectes the most original living state of humen. Zhujiayu settlement as one of the national historical and cultural villages, is acclaimed as "the first ancient village, settlement specimens of the north of river" because of its unique historical style and complete village layout. Under the environment of overall impact, searches for protection and development of the the ancient village is imperative to preserve the architecture style and cultural environment of the village to keep on for a long time.Based on the collection of literature data and field investigation, this article expounds and illustrates the ancient village’s natural and social environment, site selection and pattern, architectural features and evolution reason and the protective development, of Zhujiayu settlement, and then it analyzes the formation reasons according to its characteristic, in the end, it provides the objective evaluation.This paper is mainly divided into four parts:The first part, the another simply introduces the overall natural environment and historical evolution of zhujiayu settlement from the perspective of the natural environment, social environment, etc.The second part, the paper analyzes the main factors affecting village site selection and the formation of layout from the perspective of the location and pattern, and discusses the development process of village form, and also analyzes some landscape public space. The third part focus on the ancient architecture of Zhujiayu, from the perspective of the public buildings and residential buildings, under a comprehensive of natural factors and human factors, it presents a entire analysis.The fourth part, the paper mainly tells us settlement evolution and the status and existing problems of Zhujiayu village, and puts forward reasonable suggestions of the protection and development to make the Zhujiayu settlement restore charm and get a long-term development.
