The Research Of The Reservation Of Zhujiayu Ancient Village In Zhangqiu, Shandong

The agricultural civilization of China has a history of thousands of years and thevast lands of our country are dotted with ancient villages. These villages represent thehistorical process of Chinese nation which starts from the primitive society and showthe long-established and colorful national and fork culture. It contains thecrystallization of the wisdom of our ancestors in every part of the villages. However,after withstanding the test of time, many of these villages has gradually vanished withthe passage of time. Therefore, it is particularly important to preserve ancient villages.Zhujiayu, which locates in Zhangqiu of Shandong province, is a typical northmountainous ancient village which constructed during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Itwas honored as ‘the second batch of Chinese history and culture village’, and it’s thefirst ‘national history and culture village’ of Shandong province. Zhujiayu, which isknown as the first famous ancient village and settlement specimens in Shandong, notalso has unique village form and rich native culture, but also maintain the completepattern and style in the long history as well as beautiful scenery. However, as people’slife style has change continually in the modernization, it has a strong shock to thetraditional settlement environment. Both the humanistic environment and architecturalstyle of ancient villages had been severely damaged. This phenomenon has arousedthe concern of the Government, academics, and how to protect the ancient villageshas become a focus of social concern.In this regard, this article will study the overall environment of zhujiayu throughfield visits, observation, surveying and mapping, photography, collecting andanalyzing of the related documents and other methods. It will deal with themorphology of villages from various angles and propose feasible design plan ofreservation and development of zhujiayu on the basis of deep understanding of theancient villages.This article starts with the natural geography, history, site layout of Zhu jiayu andother points of main factors influencing the formation of village, explores theevolution and development of villages, and analyzes the overall situation of zhujiayu.And then it analyzes comprehensively important component elements of villages, such as spatial pattern, road systems, traditional architecture, etc. and discusses thechanging of traditional culture, folklore, and lifestyle of the villages which lay afoundation of proposing preservation and development strategy of Zhu jiayu. Further,to analyze the current situation of the Zhujiayu, it is essential to judge the existingproblems objectively, as well as to recognize the necessity of the analysis of theZhujiayu. Finally, the article proposes some points, concerning about the identifiablevalue and features and the proper development of the culture and economy ofZhujiayu. The protection of the ancient villages should focus on the reservation andrecovery of the culture, rather than on the protection of the materials and entities.Moreover, to restore the history and tradition, to study the cultural connotation of thetourism resources, and to develop the function of traditional settlements, peopleshould not only preserve the ancient villages passively, but also make modern peopleknow and melt into the history so that they could put forward the new ideas, with theproper utilization of the ancient villages.
