Due to social unrest and irregular meeting and departing in Three Kingdoms and Western and Eastern Jin Dynasty period, own unique life experiences and spiritual path turned into exhort and asked relatives. The true confessions between relatives are most sense of authenticity and rustic, so they are very important historical materials. By analyzing literature and the social and cultural backgrounds, this paper studies the Letter, which was sent duringThree Kingdoms and Western and Eastern Jin Dynasty period, in order to reveal the evolution of the law and the development of its trajectory, and then to explore the social history and unique spiritual life and aesthetic taste.This paper is divided into three parts:Part I: Introduction. Overview epistolary origins, definitions, nicknames Review Research and previous studies exist.Part II: The main part of the paper comprised three chapters:Chapter I: This chapter investigates historical changes of the Letter and social background and cultural development in the Three Kingdoms and Western and Eastern Jin Dynastyperiod, lists some letters and studies the development of Letter during the periods. The Letter did not form a unified definition in the academic circle and did not form consistent criteria for the classification, so the most letters are listed from "The whole ancient times, three generations, Qin and Han dynasty, the Three Kingdoms and six dynasty’s articles" by Yan Kejun.Chapter II: This chapter reflects the cultural implication and historical accumulation ofthe Letter during the periods. Based on read objects and content, the Letter divided into three types: couples Letter, commandments sub-Letter and another Letter. The chapter studiesaffection status and Intension of a culture of the Letter by different views, such as view ofwomen, viewpoints of funeral ceremony, view on the world. And the chapter main discusses that marital affection status tending peer, the mainstream consciousness of view on the word by “Confucianism” and the sense of family ethics emotion.Chapter III: This chapter investigates the combination of functional and aesthetic and cultural value of Letter in Three Kingdoms and Western and Eastern Jin Dynasty period. Firs t, heavy “feeling” and show “ability” are demonstrated, and then the need of "truth and freedom" is discussed clearly, finally the combination of functional and aesthetic and cultural value are analyzed by three views: the wonderful essay, Pian’ou creative tendencies and flexible language style.Part III: Conclusion. The historical significance of the Letter, in Three Kingdoms andWestern and Eastern Jin Dynasty period, is summarized.
