The Kuomintang is an important force of the May4th period spreadMarxism, they introduced and disseminate the Marxist theory with theCommunists together, made outstanding contribution to the spread of Marxism inChina. This paper discusses the important role played by the Kuomintang in theprocess of the spread of Marxism in China, and evaluates the merits and demeritsof the Kuomintang for the spread of Marxism in China.Based on internal logic and language of the needs, the article is structuredas follows. First, from the background of the times in which the Kuomintangstart with, combing the Kuomintang spread Marxism domestic and internationalenvironment; at the sametime, combining some Kuomintang subjective factorsdiscussed Kuomintang spread Marxist social and historical conditions. Second,one by one analyze the attitude of materialist conception of history, politicaleconomics, scientific socialism and class struggle. Then, explained theKuomintang propaganda of Marxism and applications, praised the Marx theory isused to solve the problem of the practice of china by Kuomintang. Also pointedout that, because of its class attributes with the characteristics, the Kuomintangin the dissemination of Marxism respects there is a big difference compared tothe Communists. At the end of the article, in a separate chapter to review thepositive role for the Marx doctrine, should also be noted that the Kuomintang inthe process of dissemination of Marxist, they often suffer from other so-calledsocialist, the three people’s principles and the interference theory, therefore, theKuomintang for Marx’s discourse is full of confusion and contradictions. Andfurther analysis of the propagation and give up Marx’s important reason,summarizes the fundamental reason to give up the Marx doctrine.In short, because the limitations of age and class, the Kuomintang in thedissemination of Marxism in the process of their level of awareness is not high,and not to accept Marxism truly from the heart, and Marxism held an ambivalentattitude; but early Kuomintang against the spread of Marxism in China are thepositive role it is an indisputable fact, it is still worth to be affirmed by us.
