Gansu Hexi Unearthed Medical Bamboo Slips Collation And Research

Since British archaeologist Aurel Stein (Mark Aurel Stein) has obtained708pieces of bamboo slips of Han Dynasty in Dunhuang northwest frontier beacon sitesin the beginning of the twentieth Century, there are massive bamboo slips of HanDynasty unearthed in Dunhuang county of Ha Tay Son in Gansu province, Ejinaqi(now belongs to Alxa League of Inner Mongolia), Jiuquan, Wuwei etc. Thesebamboo slips lively reappear all aspects of frontier’s politics, economy,, military,culture, science and technology at that time. This paper aims to study those partswhich related to medicine. Its contents include92pieces of Wuwei’s Medical BambooSlips of Han Dynasty,18pieces of Dunhuang’s Chinese Medical bamboo slips of HanDynasty,48pieces of Juyan’s Medical bamboo slips, and32pieces of Juyan’s newbamboo slips, there are190pieces in total.The article will summarize achievements of scholars at home and abroad andcome up with the author’s own opinions by referring to the contents of otherunearthed medical bamboo slips and contrasting with Ha Tay’s native medical bambooslips. Those unearthed medical bamboo slips include fifty-two patients side, Zhang JiaShan Medical Bamboo Slips and Fu Yang Medical Bamboo Slips etc.The article mainly includes two parts, the first one is the introduction, whichmainly introduced Ha Tay region and its unearthed bamboo slips. And the second iscollation and annotation, which mainly collate and annotate Wuwei’s medicalbamboo slips of Han Dynasty, Dunhuang’s medical bamboo slips, and Juyan’smedcal bamboo slips (including Juyan’s new bamboo slips).
