In the development of Chinese characters, simplification and complication aredifferent trends to affect its form and finally both simplified character and traditionalChinese are in use. In1956, the Chinese government promulgated the summary tableof simplified characters, after that simplified character is widely used in Chinesemainland. While some other places like Taiwan still use traditional Chinese, calligraphy, carving and other fields use it, too. The use of two different charactersbrings some trouble in the political economic and cultural exchanges. Predecessorshave recognized this and proposed solutions, but it still have some shortcoming. Inthis study, we hope we can solve this problem to some extent by design a softwarebased on the correspondence of simplified character and traditional Chinese. This paper focuses on how to change the simplified characters into thecorresponding traditional Chinese. First, we find the correspondence between them. There are two kinds of correspondence. One is one-to-one correspondence, another isone-to-many correspondence. The second one is the point. We find126one-to-manycorrespondence based on the previous studies, summary table of simplifiedcharacters, kangxi zidian. And find5909one-to-one correspondence which are incommon and wide use. They are the base of the transform. After that we use Chinese dictionary, chongkan songben shisanjing zhushu fujiaokanji, shiji, fengsu tongyi, zhuangzi, wenxuan to find the collocation of126one-to-many correspondence. They are the word bank for the software. And then classify126one-to-many correspondence and apply exclude andcontext method to design a software and test it.In this study, we use rules and statistical methods based on large-scale realcorpus and dictionary to change the simplified characters into the correspondingtraditional Chinese especially for the one-to-many correspondence. It is meaningfulnot only for the scholarship but also for real life.
