Kitahara hakusyuu is the most outstanding Japanese poet,who is active in Meiji, Taishoand Showa periods. He is the representative poet in the modern Japan and his mainachievement is to promote the accomplishment of the Japanese premodern poetry and theemergence of modern poetry. His poetry style is included symbolic style in the early period,introspective style in the mid-term period and tacit style in the later period.The thesis concentrates on Kitahara hakusyuu’s change of poetry style from symbolic tointrospective in appliance of work analysis combined with historical background and his ownexperience.The thesis conducts research mainly on Kitahara hakusyuu’s poetic styles based on hisrepresentative works Heresy in the early period and Shijyusho in the mid-term period.In the beginning part, the thesis makes brief introduction of the three periods aboutKitahara hakusyuu’s lifetime and his poetry creation.In the following part, the thesis analyzes Kitahara hakusyuu’s creation background andpoetic styles especially early and mid-term poetic styles according to his representative worksHeresy in the early period and Shijyusho in the mid-term period.At last, the thesis points out the change of poetry style from symbolic to introspective.Firstly, it discusses the differences of the poetry contents and expressions of words in theearly and the mid-term period. Secondly, it analyses the impacts on his poetic style due tointernal aspects such as life experience and creation perspective and external aspects such associal environment and literature trend. Finally, it states the influence of his poetry to currentJapanese poetry circles. |
