In recent years, the severity of drinking behaior of teenages has caused widespread concern. The research on alcoholic expectancy has made a great progress in the cause analysis on drinking behavior. Studies have shown that the positive alcoholic expectancy increases the incidence of drinking behavior.On the contrary, the negative alcoholic expectancy reduces it. The objects of the study are secondary school students of Yi. Through communicating with teenagers of Yi and arranging the interview data we learn more about the status of alcoholic behavior and the types of alcoholic expectancy of teenages. What’s more, we explored the expectancy and its influencing factors, the conclusions are as follows:1. The drinking characteristics of Yi teenages. As the Yi teenagers live in relaxed and even encouring-drinking cultural environment, they won’t feel guilty when they drink. The age of their first drinking tends to be younger and the frequency is higer, mainly low-alcohol such as beer.The drinking behavior is influced by many aspects, but the most important ones are Yi’s tradition and culture of alcohol and peer behavior.2. The alcoholic expectancy structure of Yi teenagers. Because of influencing by their special culture, the structure of alcoholic expectncy tends to be positive. The positive drinking expectancy consist of four parts which are moderate alcohol is good for healthy, feeling comfortable, wrong cognition and promoting social function. The negative alcoholic expectancy consist of affecting social function, negative feelings after drinking, damaged self-image and bad for healthy. In the reference of the number and proportion positive alcoholic expectancy is more than negative one and there are gender differences.3. The influencing factors of alcoholic expectancy of Yi teenagers. The developing of alcoholic expectancy is the result of observational and practice learning. This study has shown that the alcoholic expectancy of Yi teenagers is influenced by its cultural traditions, parental rearing and peer relationships. The Yi’s culture thinks that drinking behavior is a kind of social etiquette and a good mean of communication and it stands for forthright and upright. In this way they hold a positive attitude to the drinking behavior and they support and encourage young people to drink. In this situation, parent’s drinking behavior and neglecting of teenagers’ drinking, plus the peer drinking behavior, which create favorable conditions for teenagers’ positive drinking attitudes.Cognition determines the occurrence of the behavior. The youth groups of Yi hold positive expectancy about drinking behavior. However, the negative alcoholic expectancy is just personal experience, parents’ threats or simply rough knowledge of alcoholic risks. In the cognitive system for drinking of Yi teenagers, they hold a positive expectancy attitude and they think the advantages of drinking far outweigh the disadvantages and drinking behavior is more likely to be occurring in a certain drinking environment.4.alcoholic expectancy has moderating effect on the relationship between Alcohol influencing factors and drinking behavior.
