| As an optical phenomenon that appears in every part of our world, shadowshave never received the attention they deserved in fields like appliedand fine arts. Nor has it been studied as a proper medium of art, ratherthan a factor by which differentiates styles and genres of art works, inpast researches conducted. From the practical perspective of an artist,this paper discusses the characteristics, functions and potentialdirections for future development of shadows based on existingapplications and personal experiences with the hope to promote its usagein future art creations. |
