On The Creation Of The Artistic Conception Of Contemporary Flower-and-bird Paintings By Light And Shadow

"Light" and "shadow" are the community,light is the premise of the existence of shadow,and is the necessary condition for objects to be displayed.Since the twentieth century,the eastern and Western cultures have been merging constantly.The factors of light and shadow,which express light and shade and volume in Western paintings,have entered Chinese paintings and continuously influenced the creation of Chinese paintings.They have greatly changed the traditional aesthetic concepts and expression languages of Chinese paintings and further promoted the development of the expression forms of Chinese paintings.Through the use of light and shadow,contemporary artists not only enrich the expression forms,thoughts and emotions of Chinese painting art,but also are closer to the current aesthetic ideology,which has the significance of the times.Artistic conception is an important category of Chinese classical aesthetics and one of the important characteristics of Chinese painting.Flower and bird painting,as a traditional Chinese painting category,has formed its own unique painting techniques and aesthetic ideals in the process of formation and development.Artistic conception,as the highest realm pursued by flower and bird paintings,has a variety of artistic conception expression techniques,such as scattered perspective,virtual and real treatment,image modelling,blank and so on.To the contemporary era,flower-and-bird painters continue to explore and innovate.After learning from western painting techniques,they gradually created the language techniques of light and shadow expression with Chinese painting characteristics,which makes the paintings show the characteristics of scene blending and promotes the creation of the artistic conception of contemporary flower-and-bird paintings.Starting from the light and shadow and artistic conception of painting,this paper combs the similarities and differences of light and shadow in Chinese and Western paintings and artistic conception in painting,elaborates on the visual presentation of light and shadow in flower and bird paintings,analyses the cases of light and shadow creating artistic conception in contemporary flower and bird paintings,and applies the theoretical knowledge of light and shadow creating artistic conception in their own practical creation.
