Kizil Grottoes and Dunhuang Mogao share the reputation of China’s "four grottoes,the birthplace of China’s most ancient grotto art, the Kizil Grottoes Buddhist mural artin the Buddhist art of Central Asia and the Middle East occupies an extremelyimportantposition. In this paper, the character of the murals in the Kizil ThousandBuddha Caves Cave17plastic arts research, demonstration with its special artisticvalue, through archeology, iconography, and comparative research methods, KizilCave17mural character data comprehensive investigation, collecting evidence,comparison and analysis. The innovation of this paper is that the plastic arts throughKizil Cave17murals figures to this case, each of the character modeling style muralsfrom Cave17, the shape of the structure, character and line drawing, the characterscolor argument, through in-depth study of copy, in order to point in-depthinterpretation of the character statues features and creative method of Kizil mural Artmining plastic arts in the17Grottoes murals figures behind the aesthetic value and itscultural impact, as well as provide a valuable reference for contemporary figurepainting and artistic creation.
