A Report On English Translation Of Company Introduction Of Changsha Dajia IOT Network Technology Limited Company

With the rapid development of globalization and China’s boom in economy, an increasing number of Chinese companies have joined in the international competition in the hope of expanding their products and services. How to translate the company introductions which can attract foreign potential customers has become the main research topic of the translators.This report focuses on the English Translation of Company Introduction of Changsha Dajia IOT Network Technology Limited Company. The program is a small translation project of about10,000Chinese words. It is finished by the author and another two translators in10days. In the light of translation variation theory proposed by Professor Huang Zhonglian, the author analyzes the problems and solutions in the translation practice. In this report, three main research questions are discussed. First, what is the concrete content of the translation project? Second, what preparations should be done before translating? Third, how is translation variation theory applied in company introduction translation?In the report, the author gives a brief introduction to the translation project first. To be the main translator, the author then discusses how to do preparations before translating, which conclude the preparations of background knowledge and translation theory, personnel placement and translation flow. In the process of translation, the author applies some translation methods of translation variation theory, such as Explanatory Translation, Condensed Translation, Edited Translation and Adaptation Translation. Combining with the examples of the company Introduction of Changsha Dajia IOT Network Technology Limited Company, the author discusses how to use the above mentioned translation methods flexibly in the process of translating. Finally the author states the problems and limitations that occurred in the translation project.The report shows that sufficient preparations should be done before translating, which can raise the translation speed and guarantee the translation quality. A professional translator not only needs rich experience but also the guidance of useful translation theory.
