| Monotonous traditional college English teaching management is unable to solve“time-wasting and low efficiencyâ€,“dumb and deaf English" problems in Englishteaching. Since the end of the twentieth century, the rapid development of multimediainformation technology and education informationization provides conditions for Englishteaching management reform. In2002, the Ministry of Education launched collegeEnglish teaching reform project, the focus of it being the reform of teaching mode.College English teaching reform in Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University hasbeen under way for years, adopting multimedia projection teaching means, hierarchicalteaching mode and dynamic management pattern, and attempting to cultivate students’autonomous learning ability. However, defects and shortcomings of Fujian Agricultureand Forestry University college English multimedia teaching management restrict thedevelopment of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University college English teaching, andaffect the quality of college English teaching.This thesis reviews and summarizes the development and current situation of FujianAgriculture and Forestry University English teaching management, and by analyzing andsumming up the existing problems in multimedia teaching and learning managementthrough literature review and questionnaire research reveals the following six majorconcrete multimedia teaching and learning management problems, that is, low multimediaeducation informatization level and unreasonable multimedia hierarchical teachingmanagement, poor multimedia teaching management information communication,multimedia teaching quality evaluation system short of scientific nature and rationality,inefficient multimedia classroom teaching, little self-consciousness of students’multimedia learning.Based on existing research results, this thesis explores the construction of multimediaand network teaching mode to create conditions for cultivation of students’ personalized learning, autonomous learning and cooperative learning under the guidance of theorieslike constructivism and the input hypothesis theory, individualized teaching theory andsocial interaction learning theory. Meanwhile it puts forward concrete proposals andcountermeasures of innovating and improving college English multimedia and networkteaching and learning management from perspectives of teaching administrationdepartment, teachers and students by applying major teaching management theories likescientific management theory and overall quality management theory. University shouldconstruct multimedia network teaching mode, teaching organization guarantee system,technical guarantee system, pluralistic systems of quality evaluation and monitoring,convert traditional teaching management idea, improve the service level of networkteaching management and strengthen English teaching faculties; teachers of Englishshould convert traditional teaching concepts, improve their expertise, master moderninformation technology, organize and implement multimedia classroom teachingelaborately so as to improve teaching effect; students must strengthen the training ofmetacognitive strategy, formulate clear goal and plan, eliminate negative emotions,budget and manage their learning time in overall, reasonable and efficient manner inorder to improve their learning efficiency and comprehensive capability of applyingEnglish. |
