Based on publicity, the art of comics observes the reality and describes the society. As our worldprogresses, the social and public descriptions presented by comics gradually transit to individual and emotionalexperiences. The phenomenon of publicity decline encounters the same historical evolution as politics,economy, art, etc. This paper both focuses on researches for current predicament of Chinese caricatures, andanalyses the potential prospect of the development of caricatures in the present age. The phenomenon ofcaricatures decline involves aspects like art, communication, sociology, history, etc. It is an inevitable culturalphenomenon in modern time. The decline of publicity and comics does not mean that the art of comics has lostits essence and spirit; on the contrary, it means a new sort of culture generated from the old ones out ofdiversity. The essence of new comics advances the sustainable developments of modern caricatures in China.With the increase of the material standard, the public has a higher expectation for the art of comics. Therefore,both the betterment for the comprehensive abilities of caricaturists, and the requirement for public reality areurgent issues.
