This study, based on the theory of conditioned emotionalresponse, the relationships of emotion and cognition, and between test anxiety andtest scores, puts forward the mechanism arising out of test anxiety and the modeaffecting test scores. According to this mode, the authors integrate effectivetechnology used in psychological treatment, develop a group-counseling program tocope with secondary school students’ test anxiety, and use it in the two-monthintervention in10secondary school students with test anxiety with a view toreducing their test anxiety and improving their test scores. The results show thefollowing: Group counseling can effectively reduce the text anxiety of those with ahigh degree of test anxiety; according to the characteristics of different subjects, thetraining with certain learning methods and test skills helps significantly improve theacademic performance of students.
