Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) is the famous American writer of the20th century. However, as the local country’s most influential American writer, Ernest Hemingway often choose to reality with the United States have many differences exotic as the description of the object of his works. The Hemingway experience of Africa has a profound impact on Hemingway’s life and creation, but Hemingway’s work based on Africa experience was mixed reception."Green Hills of Africa" is seen as Hemingway’s failure of individual heroism fable by critics; most scholars interpret from an ecological point of view."Green Hills of Africa","Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber" and "The Snows of Kilimanjaro get the critics’ praise, is considered to be rare in the Ernest Hemingway short story masterpiece."An African Story" most be considered the ecological self-consciousness, reflection of their previous hunting behavior."Dawn showing true" as the fictional and the real intersect memoirs is considered rare information about Hemingway the late creative and psychological situation. It is worth noting that there are scholars from the image of the point of view of the exotic image of Hemingway as a whole to study the works of Ernest Hemingway. Therefore this paper analyze Hemingway’s African image expression in three short stories and two novels and try to dig out the Hemingway African expression of personalized color, to enrich image of Hemingway’s Africa.There are five parts, which include three chapters in text.The introduction part introduces the topics of origin, research status at home and abroad and significance of the topicThe first chapter is African writing tradition. Western writing African tradition is full of fancy, praise, distortion. African writers show the world a true Africa constantly. Between the real and the fictional, it highlights Hemingway’s Africa expression.The second chapter is Hemingway Africa expression. Natural, original, and the vitality of the Africa is landscaping and it provides a reference for the Western weak civilization. Whites in Africa have primacy of subjectivity, black Africa is full of the desire of the whites. Whites in Africa could hunt and build white Kingdom, Africa totally unconsciously become passive Africa.The third chapter is Hemingway Africa expression of personal characteristics. Hemingway placed the growth theme in the context of Africa, which shaping Africa became to save his ideal home. Meanwhile, Hemingway’s Africa expression is full of border color. In addition, secondary Africa trip reflect his changed ideas, content, attitude.In epilogue, Hemingway’s the image of Africa both inherited and break through. Personalized color of Hemingway formed among the American current situation and the writer’s own characteristics affect the image of Africa.
