Xin Qiji’s Ci-study Thought And The Literati’s Culture In The Southern Song Dynasty

Xin Qiji(1140-1207) was an open case Leekpai generation artist, he put heroic spirit and mind into the ci and he had a unique artistic personality. Xin Qiji changed enchanting and restrained characteristic of ci, so words became lofty and Generations have been learning. Xin Qiji fundamentally shaken the traditional literary concept that the ci as an attachment to the poem since Tang and Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty prometaphase, he also improved the function of ci, and Jiaxun ci became the strongest voice of the Southern Song Dynasty and even in Chinese Classical Library. Xin Qiji widely developed theme of the ci and wrote personal feelings, this can be considered that Jiaxun ci contains everything, its described the cruel, cowardly, humiliation, dark age profoundly and comprehensively, its also showed his heroic personality and his life feelings.We try to research Xin Qiji’s thoughts of ci in this paper with three parts. The introduction outlines the Xin Qiji’s life, his creation and the research status about him. Conclusion summarizes creations of the poets of Xin School, Xin Qiji’s literary achievements and influence. The major part of this paper is concentrated on Xin Qiji’s thoughts of ci, including three areas:The first chapter is centered on Xin qiji’s philosophy and the view of ci. Xin qiji had a positive life pursuit and strong hero complex, his view of ci was closely related to his consciousness of principal part and ideological personality, he also encouraged "true feelings" and "true words" and advocated that the true men wrote strong language.The second chapter is centered on lexical innovation of Xin Qiji. Xin Qiji reformed the traditional art form of ci, he introduced the classical Chinese literature methodicalness, the writing technique, sentence pattern into the ci,"writing ci in prose style".The third chapter is centered on Xin Qiji’s literature spirit and the literati’s culture in the Southern Song Dynasty. The words style of Jiaxuan ci was lyrical, moving and tragic. Xin Qiji’s literature spirit had unique social and cultural context, for example, the influence of Neo-Confucianism in the Southern Song Dynasty, the suffering consciousness of southern song dynasty scholars, uninhibited and struggling spirit, etc.
