Xin Qiji Poetry Research

Xin Qiji was the leader of bold and unconstrained Ci in the Southern Song Dynasty,being considered to the NO 1 person of the Southern Song Dynasty by Wang Guowei,he wrote total 629 Ci in his life,the achievement and status of Xin Ci can be described as unprecedented,any selection of Song Ci can not bypass Xin Qiji.Different from glorious Xin Ci,his 145 poems and 21 political essays were concealed by the brilliance of his Ci,have rarely been valued.In my opinion,Jiaxuan's poetry is part of his entire literary creation,it reflects the complicated and contradictory thoughts and spiritual world of Xin Qiji in his later years,by analyzing Jiaxuan's poetry,we would multiple perspectively understand Jiaxuan himself,then comprehensively further study Jiaxuan's literary achievementThis article intends to study Jiaxuan's poetry as the research object,it consists of three parts.First of all,based on the perspective of comments on life experiences and the background of the times,from two distinct backgrounds of North China's years and the returnee's years,we briefly describe Jiaxuan's life experiences and analyze the categories of Jia xuan's poetry as a whole.In the second place,I specifically choose Jiaxuan's group poetry as the research object,his group poetry accounts for about half of his poems,so the research of the group poetry can reveal more about Jiaxuan real style,this chapter first describe the origin of the group poetry,then wholely study the content of Jia xuan's group poetry,at last focus on the structural and features of Jiaxuan's group poetry.Finally I devoted to study the relationship between Jia Xuan's poetry and ideological trend of Song Dynasty,the first section analyzes the relationship between Jiaxuan's poetry and Neo-Confucianism,it mainly consists of three scholars' Confucianism,Shao Yong,Zhu Xi and Chen Liang,who have the greatest influence on Jiaxuan and philosophical poetry.The second section analyzes the relationship between Jiaxuan's poetry and Zen Buddhism,it mainly discusses Jiaxuan's visiting temple's poetry and Zen poetry.Needless to say,neither the ideological content nor the artistic skills of Xin's poetry can compare with Jiaxuan's Ci,in the entire poetry group of Song Dynasty,they were even not equal to Su Shi,Huang Tingjian,Yang Wanli,Lu You and other well known poets,in the southern Song Dynasty,they were not the first class works,either.However Xin's poetry although indirectly influenced by the Jiangxi Poets Group,but they come out of the poetry,not good at words but with unique feature and quite impressive.Jia Xuan is not a poet in the traditional sense,he was not devoted to writing poetry,instead,poetry was only a means to express his feelings of retreating mental state,to understand the philosophy of life,and to express his feelings about the affairs of human life,the poetry's style is simple and easy to understand,or bold and uncanny,or heroic and tragic,full of reasoning,which was quite unique and shining among the end of Southern Song Dynasty.Xin's poetry sometimes speaks directly about reasoning,being overly straightforward and lacking emotional appeal,this is its shortcomings.To sum up,if we want to fully understand Xin Qiji and his literary achievements,we can never bypass Jiaxuan's poetry.
