The capitals of all dynasties always had the unique political centripetal force,they were often the most economically and culturally developed cities in China during the specific time,so they surely attracted the attention of scholars of all ages.The literati in the Southern Song Dynasty also maintained their enthusiasm to the capitals.Because of the particularity of the times,they had nostalgia for Bianjing,the old capital of the Northern Song Dynasty,they also thought of the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty,Lin'an,according to these,the literati had written a lot of capital poems.This essay will study the theme and artistic characteristics of those poems,and select some cases for specific analysis,it also includes the thoughts and feelings of the literati in the Southern Song Dynasty,and their understanding of their own values during that time.This essay is divided into four chapters.The first two chapters mainly classify and summarize the materials that meet the scope,analyzes the emotional characteristics of the literati in the Southern Song Dynasty that reflected by the poems.The first chapter is in chronological order,about the fall of the capitals,analyzes the pertinent Bianjing poems and Lin'an poems.The first section divides Bianjing poems of literati in Southern Song Dynasty into three categories according to the particularity of time and group,studies the related poems of three groups: the literati who moved to south,patriotic literati of Southern Song Dynasty,and the literati who missioned to Jin Dynasty.The second section analyzes the Lin'an poetry of the time when it fall into enemy hands,and the time after the Song Dynasty.The second chapter starts from space,concerned about the poems of the literati in and out of Lin'an in the Southern Song Dynasty.The first section focuses on spatial transformation.First of all,it analyzes the characteristics of poems written by literati in Southern Song Dynasty when they went in and out of Lin'an,then analyze the poems written by the scholars of Southern Song Dynasty when they thought aboutLin'an from afar.The second section studies the capital officials' Lin'an poetry in the Southern Song Dynasty.These poems can be divided into two categories: those written by the literati when they accompanied the emperors;and those written when they were on duty.The third section sorts out the daily Lin'an poems written by the scholars in the Southern Song Dynasty when they lived in Lin'an,there are four themes,i.e.thinking about returning home and thinking about seclusion,gathering in the capital,enjoying the scenery while staying idle,enjoying the festival.The third chapter focuses on the artistic characteristics of capital poetry of Literati in the southern song dynasty.Because the style of the poems is very rich,so this chapter divides these poems into two categories.The first section selects the three most obvious artistic features of Bianjing and Lin'an poems:the combination of the real and the virtual,the contrast technique and the special situation relationship,and combined with the poetry text to explain.In the second section,three most important artistic features are selected:originality,vertical and straight writing,and the use of Royal imagery,and cite example for analytical explanation.The fourth chapter deeply explores the mentalities to capitals of the literati in the Southern Song Dynasty.The first section is about the background of their mentalities,analyzes from three aspects: the inheritance of the former generation,the style of the two capitals,the status of the literati in the Song Dynasty and the characteristics of their poems.The second section sums up the mentalities of the literati into three kinds:“disgusting capital”“loving capital”and“thinking about capital”,and take Lu you as an example to analyze three kinds of mentality.
