The social psychological effects that the contemporary Chinese single-parentfamilies and stay-at home children bring to one generation even several generationsarouses concerns even anxieties by both families and society. The research has strongpractical significance about the personality and subjective well-being from the microcosmic and practical angle for the single-parent college students.This research aims at finding the different attitudes toward parents’ divorcing incollege students’ eyes from different family background, and the relationship betweentheir personality and subjective well-being. By analyzing the differences of collegestudents both from single-parent and intact families, some suggestions are given tobetter their subjective well-being meanwhile it offers practical proof to their mentalhealth are presented.The research uses Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, General Well-beingSchedule and two questions about attitudes toward parents’ devoicing to788collegestudents, and with the help of accounting software SPSS19.0, it forms the analysis forthe findings. The accounting methods including T-test, variance analysis, andcorralation analysis.We can draw the following major conclusion:1.There is conspicuous corralationamong college students’ attitudes toward parents’ divorcing, their personality and theirsubjective well-being.There is conspicuous difference toward the factors’ correlationamong single-parent families and intact families.2.For those single-parent collegestudents, their difference personalities differ greatly in varies subjective well-being.Neuroticism is noted has negative effect on the subjective well-being. Extroversionhas significant positive effect on subjective well-being.3.Attitudes toward parents’divorcing, personality and subjective well-being differ sharply for the college studentswho are from single-parent and intact families.4.college students who are fromdifferent kinds of single-parent families differ greatly in their subjective well-being.
