In accordance with the demands for English teacher in the new requirements forcollege English teaching (2007), English teachers’ beliefs will influence their teachingbehaviors a lot during English teaching. EFL teachers’ beliefs are teachers’ own thoughtsand opinions of teaching. At present, there are many researches on English teachers’ beliefsof schools and universities, however, EFL teachers’ beliefs in fine arts academies have notbeen paid close attention to. This paper aims to expand the issues on the teachers’ beliefs ofEnglish education in Hebei Academy of Fine Arts. The author using qualitative analysisand interviews methods aims to find out EFL teachers’ beliefs of fine arts academies andwhat factors of EFL teachers’ beliefs as well as relationship between EFL teachers’ beliefsand teaching behaviors influence teaching process.The author aims to get the background information of subjects, English teachers’beliefs and influential factors of English teachers’ beliefs, and then classroom observationsand after-class interviews are followed. The aim is to make clear relationship betweenteachers’ beliefs and teaching behaviors. After collecting and analyzing the data, the authordraws some conclusions. The author discusses the findings of the relationship amongteachers’ beliefs, teaching practices, educational reform measures and makes a clearconclusion on the English education in fine arts academies in Chapter Five. In the end, theauthor provides some suggestions for future research and English teachers’ beliefs in finearts academies.
