The Science and technology in the 21st century has achieved an unprecedented development,which has had a tremendous impact on traditional education.All dis-ciplines begin to explore how to present the knowledge of their field using the new technology.Chinese educatibn for speakers of other languages is no exception.Most universities and language training institutions set up distance-education center,providing both asynchronous and synchronous courses through the Internet.Stu-dents could learn the courses freely or attend the live classes regularly.Live&Fun Learning Online Enhanced Tutoring Program(Abbr.LFLOET)emerged at this moment.It was initiated by LFLOET Learning Education Consult-ing Company in 2012,cooperating with universities at home and abroad.This pro-gram offers one to one online tutorial via instant communication tool for overseas students who have signed up for the specific Chinese course of their college curricu-lum.Their teachers are Chinese college students majoring in teaching Chinese to speakers of other Languages or other relevant studies.Until now,this program has run smoothly for six years.The research on LFLOET is expected to enrich the case base ofChinese distance teaching mode and give rise to more constructive studies in this field.This research consists of five parts.The first part is an introduction,including research background,literature review,research content,significance and innovation.The second part is the description of LFLOET model,illustrating the basic situation of LFLOET model,the developing process of LFLOET teachers and students,the partner universities.Third part is the comparison with other similar mode,analyzing the characteristics and advantages of LFLOET mode.Fourth part is an evaluation study on LFLOET 2017Fall course,investigating students and teachers' opinions through questionnaires and interviews.Fifth part is the research conclusion and rec-ommendation.The conclusions are as follows:1.LFLOET program is characterized by the es-tablishment of a potential teacher-student relationship.The student group is com-prised of Chinese course learners of overseas universities and its counterpart is com-posed of Chinese students majoring in TCSL.2.This program is superior in the choice of course content,design of interaction and cooperation,teaching methods of Mandarin tones and so on.3.The current problems are presented in five aspects:the massive loss of old teachers,the deficiency of effective technology support,the lack of external links and materials,the inadequacy of the numbers and forms of after-class exercises as well as some oversights of teaching design.The specific and tar-geted recommendations mainly focus on technology support,external materials,the course design and so on.
