Huairen Place Names Of Linguistics Study

Toponyms carry lots of information about geography, history,language, etc,so the research of place names will benefit theresearch of these related subjects.With the rapid development ofeconomic,communications between different places become closerand closer, and people pay more and more attention to the research ofplace names. The research shows a trend of mutual referencebetween disciplines. Because of some social, political, and economicreasons, Huairen county, located in the north of Shanxi province, isstill blank in the research. To make up for the gap, this article mainlyfrom the perspective of linguistics, combined with the feature of localgeographical culture, through field investigation and quantitativeanalysis methods to huairen place names from the structurecomposition, variant pronunciation phenomenon of place names,place names and place names of the social and culturalcharacteristics etc to do a comprehensive system.Through examining huairen places syllables constitute the majority with double syllable place names, three syllables placenames, place names with up to three syllables; Words have propernoun+zero TongMing structure, proper noun+TongMing, TongMing+proper noun, proper noun+TongMing+TongMing four types. After thearticle separately from the two aspects of TongMing and proper nounto huai ren place names are analyzed. Voice in this chapter, Icombined with local dialects of huai ren to the pronunciation of thenames are studied, and then the places the phenomenon of two readand white variant pronunciation sounds. Place of origin analysis forpeople to understand the ancient geographical features and regionalcharacteristics and its evolution have provided valuable information.In addition, the cultural characteristics of the place names socialanalysis, will help people understanding of huai ren history andculture. In a word, I hoping to exploit the important linguistic andcultural value behind these place names.
