Ananalysis On The Spread Of Chinese Clture Inarab Countries Focusing On The Predicaments And Strategies

With the development of the society, people have increasingly realized theimportance of the international cultural exchange. In2007, China put forward thecultural soft power as its major strategic focus of the national diplomatic relationship.At present, China has small cultural influence and little voice in the Arab world, andhasn’t yet obtained the proper attention in this region.Chinese people has valued cultural exchanges between China and the Arabcountries for decades, but there still have many problems need to be settled. So it isimperative that give high priority to developing relations with Arab states andspeeding up the spread of Chinese culture in the Arab world either from the aspectangle of history, or of reality.This paper holds that there are some reasons which prevent the spread of Chineseculture in Arab states. That is the difference between culture, traditions and theconcept of value in Chinese and Arabians. What’s more, the conservation of theArabic culture and the misunderstanding of the way of cultural communication and itscontent all could lead to the difficult situation.For the above reasons, the three-step development strategy were suggestedaccording to the problems of the Confucius Institute at University Hassan IICasablanca. First, study the psychological factors of the receivers. Second, constantlyadjust the focus and method of the Chinese cultural communication according to theinitial period, the intermediate stage and the later period. Third, spread the Chineseculture in stages and with focal point.
