A Study About Musical History Materials Of Sacrificing Confucius In Hunan Local Chronicles Of Qin Dynasty

The local chronicle is one of the very important, rich and long history local literatures in China. So far, retained most are the Qing Dynasty chronicles. The structure, style is fixed and its contents cover varied aspects of social lives. The most recorded musical related materials are that of Confucius. Also it includes a small amount of materials about music booklist, customary music, musical verse, and so on.This paper is based on the local chronicles of Hunan in the Qing Dynasty and the historical materials of music is the subject of thesis. The whole text is divided into three chapters, with preface and epilogue. The first chapter is to make a study of all the musical materials in the Hunan local chronicles of Qing Dynasty, including contents and distribution, divided into five sections. The fifth section summarizes and analyzes the characteristics and reasons. The second chapter is based on historical datas in order to reshape the Hunan Confucius music and dance appearance. First, it shows the Confucius music origin, and then focuses on the different performance forms according to the contents’detail and brief. The chapter consists of sacred musical origin and the origin of Confucius music, ritual procedures and general introduction of music performance, the singing music in sacred confucius’music, dance accompanied by music, confucius music executives--dance group. The third chapter is the analysis about the culture of the Qing Dynasty’s Hunan sacred confucius music and dance, including data sources, value and related problems. The author tries to grasp the historical materials’ characteristic, which is general consistency and the same with Chinese traditional music culture spread.This paper is not only the first time to arrange the music data of Hunan local chronicles, but also the first study on the sacred confucius music in local chronicles of Hunan. The article, cited the historical data, provides certain value for further research. Through a large number of historical records, the article summarizes the overall situation of Hunan sacred confucius musical characteristics and thinks of the spreading trait of China traditional music culture.
