With the rapid development of Chinese economy since the reform and opening up, mandarin has begin warming up in the whole region and the number of people to learn mandarin has growing up with each passing day. But now the efficiency and quality of teaching Chinese Foreign far failed to meet the needs of this situation. How to make our mandarin teaching more effective, so that students can better master the Chinese in a much shorter time, that is the problem we need to solve urgently. On the field of teaching, research on effective teaching theory has been historic, while the study of applying effective teaching theory to foreign language teaching and also to teachers’ effective teaching behaviour is still very weak. For this reason, I chose the topic of study the teaching behaviour of foreign language teachers. This article will check the effctiveness of foreign language teaching from the angle of effective teaching, by which we hope it would be helpful on improving the effectiveness of teaching, optimize teaching effect and accelerate the international extension of mandarin. Paper consists of seven parts:The first part is an introduction, the main the background of chosing this topic, the current teaching situation, confusion on practical teaching adjudgement and paper’s theoretical value, innovation, the status of foreign language study effective teaching, second part is the basic principles of effective teaching of foreign language, according to the general principles of effective teaching combined with the characteristics of Chinese Foreign teaching Chinese as a Foreign, we discuss the concept of effective teaching, characteristics, standards, basic requirements and its theoretical basis; third part is the investigation into the effectiveness of foreign language teaching practice and show the findings; fourth part is that, from the survey according to the theory of effective teaching we do analysis of the survey results; fifth part is that the survey results indicate the problems which currently affecting the effectiveness of classroom teaching a foreign language; sixth part is to give cooresponding stage recommendations for exsiting problems on teaching and learning, part VII is the conclusion, primarily Summary and Outlook valid for foreign language teaching and research.
