As early as in the1950s of the last century, China had beguntraining the diplomatic agents stationed in China the Chinese. With the developmentof China’s rapid economic, the continuous improvement of its international status,more and more foreigners devote into learning Chinese. After decades ofdevelopment,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, has considerabledevelopment both in the teaching content and teaching style.Nowadays the one-to-one teaching Chinese as a foreign language is still in itsstarting stage. Although it develops rapidly, at the same time there are manyproblems for us to discuss and solve. We expect this popular among learnersteaching form can be developped more perfect, and the teaching quality ofone-to-one can be further improved.In the teaching process, the major factors affecting the quality of teaching areteachers、student individual、teaching contents, teaching strategy or mode、management and teaching goals.All these factors affect the teaching qulity. In thispaper, the auther introduced the present and development of current one-to-oneteaching in brife. Combined with the experience and problems in practice teaching,around one to one teaching characteristic and the principle, according to the fourstages in the teaching process, the auther attempts to summarize and construct aneffective mode of one to one Chinese teaching.The main constituent elements of theteaching mode are: learning objects, teaching contents, teaching methods andteaching evaluation. The effective teaching model around these four aspects, whichconnect with each other and influence each other. In the epilogue of this article, theauthor puts forward some suggestions and prospects for the one-to-one teaching,expecting this teaching can be more complete, systematic and comprehensive.
