The C-E Translation Report On Hulun Buir Grasslands (Part Ⅰ)

This is a translation project report on Hulun Buir Grasslands which is a tourism text introducing Hulunbuir to readers. The translator chose the first part (Colorful Hulunbuir) to translate and to provide the first English version, which will be convenient for foreigners to know much about Hulunbuir and make a little contribution to the tourism internationalization of Hulunbuir.The report consists of four chapters. The first chapter is the description about the background, the objectives and the significance of translation project. The second chapter focuses on the background of the source text in which the author, the content, and the language features are analyzed. The third chapter covers the preparation work, the difficulties in translation and the methods used in the process of the translation, and the corresponding methods are explained with examples clearly. The fourth chapter makes a comprehensive conclusion of the lessons and unsolved questions about my translation project.Taking the tourism text into account, the source text aims to attract tourists and to develop the local tourism. Therefore, the translator chose the Skope Theory to guide the translation.
