On The Shapes And Structures Of Tombs In Eastern Han Dynasty In Xi’an Area

First of all, classify the tombs in Xi’an in Eastern Han Dynasty using the method oftypology. Based on the typological research, the tombs can be divided into differenthistorical periods. Analyze the development and vicissitude about the shapes andstructures of the tombs in Xi’an in each period. Then, using the same criterion,classify the tombs of the adjacent areas of Xi’an into several types, including northernShaanxi, northern Shanxi, southern Shanxi, eastern Gansu&Ningxia and QinghaiProvince. Finally, by comparing the characteristics about the shapes and structures oftombs and its evolvement law in Xi’an in Eastern Han Dynasty, try to explain thecultural communications and relationships between Xi’an and its adjacent areas.This paper consists of four parts..Part one: IntroductionIntroduce the research background of this paper, summarize the shortcomings of theformer research and state the purpose of this research.Part two: Analysis the Shapes and Structures in Xi’an in Eastern Han DynastyAccording to the shape of the main chamber, the tombs can be divided into four types(Types A, B, C and D). Then analyze the characteristics about the shapes andstructures of the tombs in Xi’an in Eastern Han Dynasty. Based on the formerchronological research results, the tombs can be divided into three historical periods,and then summarize the characteristics about the shapes and structures of tombs andits evolvement law in each historical period.Part three: Comparison with the Adjacent Area Using the same criterion, classify the tombs of the adjacent area of Xi’an into severaltypes, including northern Shaanxi, northern Shanxi, southern Shanxi, eastern Gansu&Ningxia and Qinghai Province. Based on the former chronological research results,summarize the characteristics about the shapes and structures of tombs and itsevolvement law in Eastern Han Dynasty in each area, and then compared with thosein Xi’an in order to discover the differences and similarities in the characteristicsabout shapes and structures of tombs and its evolvement law.Part four: ConclusionSummarize the main conclusions in this paper including: the characteristics about theshapes and structures of tombs, there evolvement law in Xi’an in Eastern HanDynasty, the differences and similarities in the characteristics about shapes andstructures of tombs and its evolvement law.
