With the continuous development of Chinese international education and promotion cause, constructing and having a high-level, high-quality and of Chinese as a foreign language teachers will be hot issues and key problems continuously. In this, Chinese volunteer teachers are the important reserve forces undoubtedly.This article selects the typical cases of cross-cultural communication activities by Chinese volunteer teachers about differences of Chinese culture and Western culture in United States.In order to explore social environmental factors which affect the cross-cultural communication ability, and also to analyze the potential social environmental factors in cross-cultural communication, to explore communication differences due to different social and cultural factors.Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is essentially to teaching language which based on intercultural communication activities. In most cases, Whether the intercultural communication are implemented effectively depends on the communicator’s own communication ability and skills. This article selects the real cases about teaching activities and cross-cultural communication activities by Chinese volunteer teachers in United States, supported by sociology and psychology and some other related theories, to discuss the differences between Oriental society culture represented by China and modern Western society culture represented by the United States from two main aspects of social environment factors:role relationship and interpersonal relationships, which reflects the internal social reasons in cross-cultural communication activities by Chinese volunteer teachers.Most discussion between the Cross-cultural communication ability and Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is more concentrated on the teaching itself in recent years. As a Chinese volunteer teacher who is experiencing the differences between Oriental society culture and Western society culture, I feel that it is so necessary and important to analyze cross-cultural communication from the angle of volunteers.In order to provide some reference and help for future Chinese volunteer teachers.Therefore,I would like to discuss the social and environmental factors of intercultural communication in the international promotion of Chinese in combination with sociology and psychology and some related theories with typical cases.
