The Study On Function Of The Modern Chinese Simple Adverbials In Sentence

Since Xu Jie proposed that the "predicate-initial position"is the third most sensitive and specific location in Chinese, scholars began to realize that status of the simple sentence adverbial.Overall, the study of the past simple sentence adverbial lack of the discourse viewpoint, most of them analysis those sentence adverbial constructions in isolation, such as place adverbials, manner adverbials,or those specific adverbial constructions and its pragmatic function, and so on. But their research is the lack of systematic and more fragmented.In the view of functional grammar, the diversity of language expression is derived from different functional communication needs, out of the true nature of discourse and conversation, it is difficult to effectively reveal the structural formula of semantics.In view of this,this paper tries to use the theory of cognitive grammar,syntax and discourse grammar structures as the foundation,use the method of quantitative analysis and description,to study the modern simple sentence adverbial from the perspective of syntax and discourse,and discuss its capability of forming sentence and textual function,and analyzes its reason,for proving the importance of the simple sentence adverbial.In this paper, the simple sentence adverbial is mainly refers to between subject-predicate sentence adverbial words, is to investigate the function of these words respectively in between subject-predicate sentence adverbial after the do this and textual function. These words describe or limit as in front of the predicate, may be with some other followed by adverbial exist at the same time, but as long as there is no semantic relations between the first adverbial and the subsequent adverbial, the first adverbial will be the study scope of this article.This paper argues that,simple sentence adverbials have the capability of forming sentence in the sentence,mainly are part of the auxiliary verbs,nouns,adverbs and adjectives,they can represent the category of time,tone,degree,modal,and so on,to make sentences with expressions that the text can contact with the reality and realize the real function of the sentence:refer to definite,the time is clear, the full tone, etc,thus it is easy to form sentence as an independent.The simple sentence adverbials that can play a bridging role in the text is mainly some association adverbs,the commentary adverbs and some time adverbs,that primarily through the semantics connections and the means to complete the function.The textual function of the simple sentence adverbial is not very completely,the simple sentence adverbial with the textual function are not many,but the language is a changing and developing process,some language with frequent use of righteousness,there is a further chapter in the evolution of the fixed signs of convergence,that can promote the continuous convergence derived markers. This study enrich and deepen the study of the simple sentence adverbial in Chinese language,the research results can be applied to the teaching of Chinese language, which is also a new teaching point of view in Chinese Foreign teaching,that is undoubtedly a big help and has some practical value for the students to learn the more complex modern Chinese adverbial.
