It is a continuous dynamic of human development, the desire and the pursuit for knowledge. Knowledge obtained the swift and violent development from the industrial revolution. With the West into the post-industrial society, China has entered the critical period of socialist construction, and the corresponding cultural forms also changed which is the generation and development of postmodernism. The disadvantages and crisis of knowledge has arisen. Liotta (French philosopher) became acutely aware of the change, and tried to analyze the crisis and reinstitute the legalization of knowledge by combing the contemporary social knowledge status-quo. I hope to provide reference for the development of scientific knowledge and social progress through analyzing Liotta’s legalized knowledge theory.The first chapter is reviewing the research of Liotta’s theories at home and abroad. The second chapter traces and explains the related background concepts, and sums up Liotta’s comprehend of postmodern. The third chapter focuses on legalized knowledge origin, and evaluates the representative and their relevant thoughts and theories, and puts the key at Liotta’s understanding and elaboration. The fourth chapter mainly analyzes Liotta’s definition of the connotation, characteristics and relationship of narrative knowledge and scientific knowledge, and makes a analysis of the crisis on both of them and the cause of the crisis. The fifth chapter elaborates Liotta’s reconstruction of the legalization of knowledge which is the theory of language game centering on the "paradoxical logic", and induces the cause of establishing "paradoxical logic" as the standard. The last chapter concludes the meaning of Liotta’s legalized knowledge theory, the enlightenment for the socialist construction in our country, the response of doubts and the theoretical limitations that it owns.
