Profound and complex changes are taking place in the world today. In the period of great development and adjustment, economic globalization and economic integration, information network, and people’s lifestyle are undergoing the profound changes, which deepens the political, economic, cultural relationship between the countries. the range of ideology and culture increasingly frequent exchanges and dialogue between different civilizations and active, the development of China’s development with the world increasingly closely linked together, the development of China needs the world, the development of the world also needs China. In contemporary international relations, the competition in overall national strength of a striking feature is the position and role of culture more dash forward show, so establishing good image of the country, expanding the international influence of Chinese culture, improve the country’s cultural soft power has become an important strategic task in our country.With the continuous development of society and progress, a large number of Chinese words with Chinese characteristics are produced, and the accurate translation of these words with Chinese characteristics in the foreign propaganda translation will directly affect the correct understanding of China’s traditional culture, the current policy, and the economic development. Since the21st century, China’s foreign propaganda work has achieved obvious progress. However, we should clearly realize that the western media is still occupying the dominant, controlling the voice, which requests us to attach great importance to the external propaganda work, make long-term planning publicity, innovative methods of publicity, enhance the attraction, affinity, and the influence of external publicity, improve the ability of international communication and effects. We should especially pay more attention to the translation accuracy, timeliness and concreteness of those words with Chinese cultural characteristics. In view of this, this paper aims to study the publicity in the translation of words with Chinese characteristics from the following several aspects. A, the connotation and significance of the external publicity translation; Second, the connotation of words with Chinese characteristics; Three, the present situation and existing problems of the translation of words with Chinese characteristics; Four, the translation strategies, Five, the introduction of the concept of "China English", for example, elaborated the Chinese characteristic vocabulary of different translation method., from the economic, cultural, political, and other fields analyzing the characteristics of the translation of words with Chinese characteristics.;The vocabulary with Chinese culture characteristics plays a very important role in propaganda, different countries pay more and more attention to the cultural soft power, Discourse is regarded as soft power an important part of a country, and how to cleverly put words with Chinese cultural characteristics construction into their own discourse system for China is an important part of soft power. Vocabulary with Chinese culture characteristics of system must be able to directly represent the China’s experience, thoughts, and reality, be capable of embodying the of the Chinese logic, meet the needs of the reality and the future development of China.
