Owning to economic globalization,this research topic concerned with product translation is imbued with obvious significance.Product Translation not only promote China and foreign economic development,but also deepen cultural exchanges of both sides.As a global par jewelry platform with unique characteristics,ONE JEWELRY platform has certain representativeness in product translation area.Introduction of the product is pragmatic text and falls into popular science category.It mainly offers services for consumers,and its purpose is to sell goods by building great company image and introducing products to consumers,the Skopostheorie is a theory of purposeful action.This report,based on the translation project of jewelry product,first explains the preparatory work by discussing how to ensure the quality of translation through the pre-translation analysis.Meanwhile,the translator carries out “fidelity” and “readability” according to Skopos theory.Through the case analysis,the second part summarizes the characteristics and the translation methods of product.In accordance with the textual characteristics,elements which influence translation and Skopos theory,the author translates the report through combining proper translation strategy-domestication and dissimilation as well as translation methods such as transliteration,addition and change of word order.The author proposes that the translator should be based on the customers' need in order to achieve the translation purpose and choose the flexible methods and strategies during translation.Finally,author concludes experience and rethinking during the translation practice as well as expresses own opinions on improving translation quality.Product translation could not only improve benefit of enterprise and build image but also increase sales opportunities in target countries so as to promote companies' international competitiveness.It is sincerely hoped that this paper will enlighten translators and help improve versions of product translation.
