A Study On Zhuang Nu’s Pop Music Lyrics In Taiwan

ZhuangNu is the representative of Taiwanese pop music songwriter in1950s and1960s. His works were very famous across the Taiwan strait, and his name is closely linked to the superstar singer Teresa Teng. ZhuangNu is very important in the world of Taiwan music. His lyrics loved by the audiences with artistic and text research value. which are easy to remember and sing. Their style is fresh and elegant.According to the writer’s research find that other researchers have conducted a comparative analysis with those of other singers,merely focused on TeresaTeng’s singing art, and rarely carried out a systematic study on ZhuangNu’s lyrics. Therefore, this paper makes an attempt to explore the status and value of ZhuangNu’s lyrics and to feel the charming of ZhuangNu lyrics, as well as reasons for the change of its style under the background of Taiwan Music’s history.This paper is divided into five parts to analyze and discuss the literary value of ZhuangNu lyrics as well as its status and meaning in the history of Taiwan pop songwriting. The introduction part discusses the reason for choosing ZhuangNu lyrics, current research and methods. The first chapter makes an introduction on ZhuangNu, analyses the important role that music plays in his life.Then,Categorizes ZhuangNu’s composition in different periods. And returns to text research. The second analyzes ZhuangNu lyrics mainly through its lyrics artistic beauty, poetic style and emotional beauty. The third chapter carries out an in-depth discussion of the cultural background of the era that ZhuangNu’s lyrics is in belong and link the creation of it with the development of Taiwan pop music closely. Some introduction on the development of Taiwan’s pop music,With an aim to explore the development of the composition of Taiwan pop music lyrics. The last chapter makes a conclusion of the impact and value of ZhuangNu’s lyrics.
