"Post-event Penalty" On Chinese-English Interpretation From The Perspective Of Eco-Translatology

Being a crucial tool for information exchange, interpretation plays an important role in international politics, economy, science&technology and culture, etc. In recent years, interpretation study has gained substantial achievements in different aspects of interpretation. Interpretive paradigm, Cognitive Processing paradigm, Neuro-linguistic Research paradigm, Target Text paradigm and Interactive Dialogue Discourse paradigm have become comparatively well-developed, which have enriched the scope of interpretation study.Eco-Translatology, a new interpretation study paradigm, gives fresh explanation and description of the process, standard and principle of translation from the perspective of Ecology, which offers new motive force to the development of interpretation study. This thesis combines interpretation and translational eco-system on the guidance of the basic theory of Eco-Translatology and gives new description and explanation of the process, essence and standard of interpretation from the perspective of Eco-Translatology by case study. And all the cases come from the year of2011-2013press conferences from China’s premiers. At the same time, this thesis tries to discuss the "leading role" of interpreter during interpreting, the interpreter’s multi-dimensional adaptation and selection in translational eco-environment and the degree of holistic adaptation and selection of interpreted version under the guidance of the principle of "Post-event Penalty". Furthermore, this thesis intends to make some contribution to the field of Eco-Translatology as well as the depth and range of interpretation study.
