| The rapid development of global tourist industry attracts an increasing number of tourists to China. Tourist industry not only broadens people’s horizon but also accelerate the communication of different countries. Guide interpretation is the bridge between cultures and languages, which has great importance to Chinese culture transformation and tourist industry development. As the tourist market develops, the need for guide interpreters is increasing, and the competence for guide interpreter is also more and more essential. As a new research field, guide interpretation draws the attention of many scholars. But previous studies mostly focus on linguistic level and cultural level. There are not many researches on guide interpretation from the perspective of eco-translatology. The author of this thesis adopts materials of Xi’an tourist attractions to study guide interpretation from the perspective of Professor Hu Gengshen’s eco-translatology theory to reach the communicative purpose of guide interpretation, giving some suggestions to interpretation learning of students and interpretation teaching for teachers.This thesis is composed of five chapters. Chapter 1 is the introduction, mainly talking about the purpose and meaning of the study. Chapter 2 is literature review. It reviews previous studies on eco-translatology and the guide interpretation. Chapter 3 is the theory frame, which illustrates three basic theory of eco-translatology of Professor Hu Gengshen. Chapter 4 is the main body of the thesis, discussing the application of eco-translatology in guide interpretation. The last part is the conclusion of this thesis, which concludes the shortcomings and findings of this thesis. |
