The present research made an attempt to study the marital relationship and familystructure in regions vary in economic level, and try to explore how the economic factorsinfluence the relationship of marriage and family. Take the Marital Adjustment Test(MAT),Marital Satisfaction scale of the ENRICH, Marital Health Tests(MHT), and ResilienceScale for Adults(RSA) as research tools, to explore the impact of economic factors onmarital relationship and family structure in levels from national to district and then toindividual by investigating3731adults(including1893men,1838women and1618couples). The results indicate that:(1) The impaction of regional economic on marriage is mainly showed in spousalinteraction which is less affected by subjects’ consciousness. People from regions inmedium developed have the worst spousal interaction.(2) Socioecomic status is proportional to marital adjustment and marital satisfaction.While on the spousal interaction, the education of wife impacts the quality of spousalinteraction more than the education of husband, people people with medium education,such as high school diploma have the worst couple-interaction; the subjective consumptionof men has a greater impact on the quality of spouseal interaction than women’s, peoplewho think they are rich/poor have a better spouseal interaction than those who think theyare very rich/poor.(3) The impactions on marital relationship by different resilience factors are different.Self-efficacy and family cohension are good for the marital relationship, while sociabilityand social resources are bad for the marital relationship.(4) There are no differences on types of family structure and living arrangementamongst regions vary in economic level and people in different socioeconomic status.Butthe family size is bigger and son preference thinking is more popular in less developmentregions and also in people who are in lower socioeconomic status.
