Research On The Egyptian-US Relations During The Mubarak’s Regime

Egypt’s foreign relations is extremely valued with the United States.Nasser period in a highly confrontation stage,Egypt-US relations in Sadat period had comprehensive development, since Mubarak while maintaining close cooperation,there are lots of differences and conflicts.Throughout the history of Egypt-US relations, in addition to the international situation, the national interest is the decisive factor. Egypt and the United States to develop friendly relations and mutually beneficial, but this relationship is also showing great vulnerability. This relationship depends on factors of Israel.in triangle relationship,the United States is in the strongest position,followed by Israel,Egypt is in the weakest position. In a word, Egypt-US relations to a large extent determined by the Egypt-Israeli relations, so Egypt-US relations more constrained by external factors and become extremely complex. Egypt and United States had close contacts in political, economic and military fields during the Mubarak, the leaders of the two countries hold meetings frequently and reached important agreements. US aid to Egypt a large number in economic and military. Economic and trade exchanges and military cooperation between the two countries has greatly promoted the development of Egypt. But there are more negative effects, this would effect Egyptian society in long term. After Mubarak stepped down,the Egyptian political turmoil unbearable. In future, Egypt-US relations depends on the development of the domestic situation in Egypt.
