The Exploration Of The CPC On The Organization Principle During The Primeval Period (1921-1935)

The exploration of primeval CPC on the organizational principle is teased in thisarticle in three periods. In the founding period, the organizational principle of Leninwas misunderstood by CPC members into centralism, and on the basis of themisunderstood principle the CPC was founded. In the national revolution period,although the organizational principle was erected as democratic centralism, thedemocratic centralism was more comprehended as “centralism on the basis ofdemocracy”, and centralization or centralism was often strengthened in organizationalpractice. During the agrarian revolution period, the understanding of CPC on thedemocratic centralism has become more comprehensive, the important idea of“centralism on the basis of democracy” and “democracy under centralized guidance”was formed in this period. There are many positive explorations on the democracyconstruction inside CPC, however, the implement of democracy still went not well,and the centralism was still highlighted in the practice.This article consists of5parts:Part1: Introductions. In this part the reason and significance of this article aredemonstrated, in which the theoretical significance and realistic significance of theresearch on the organizational principle of the primeval CPC are strengthened. Andthe current academic situation on this field emerges after the summarization of theavailable publications. Part2: the misunderstanding of democratic centralism.During the CPC-foundingperiod, the CPC misinterpret the Party-founding principles of Lenin as Centralism forthe transition theory of Karl Marx and the requirement of opposing Anarchism.Itactually leading the primeval CPC to a centralism organization.Part3: the establishment of democratic centralism. The process of establishmentof democratic centralism goes though the dispute stage and establishment stage.Theintent of democratic centralism is evaluated to “centralism based on democracy”.While certain achievement has made in the construction of democratic centralism inthis period, the practices of democracy are not very successful because of theinsufficiency of comprehension of democracy and the lack of democratic training ofCPC members. In the Party-organization the discipline and centralization are stillextremely stressed.Part4: the development of democratic centralism. During this period, thefundamental ideas of “centralism on the basis of democracy” and “democracy undercentralized guidance” are erected. The construction of CPC democracy in the fieldsuch as election in CPC, discussion in CPC, criticism and self criticism and guidancecollectivization has made great progress. However, a series of problems also emergebecause of cruel revolutionary circumstance, the direct leadership of CommunistInternational and effluence of feudal ideas of thousands of years.Part5: the end. The CPC particularly emphasize centralization during theCPC-founding period.It made the CPC an organization similar to army with fulldepartment and strict discipline.In future CPC must carefully carry out every rulesand regulations of democratic centralism, enhance the implements of democracy toinsure the democratic system in CPC. And points out the shortcomings of myresearch.
