With the progress of institutions reform in China, many scientificresearch institutions have restructured and turn to be enterprise, or arein the process of the reform. No matter for the institutions which havedone with the reform or are in the transition, the salary system reformof the institution reform as an important part of also appears more urgent.In the domestic and foreign enterprise salary management system, inorder to improve enterprise employees work efficiency and positive workattitude, post management and performance management have been used fora long time, they are the necessary management methods for enterprisedevelopment. Many enterprises first put the post management andperformance management into the system of human resource management, itis a very effective management tool in human resources management. Today,many enterprises own a more mature system frame,technology system andmanagement system of the post management and performance management. Taking examples by mature salary management system in enterprises, theinstitutions can appropriately bring in some effective compensationmanagement methods suitable for themselves from enterprises.Therefore, this research theme is the remuneration management systemreform of the scientific research institution after transfers, to studyhow to inspire specialized technical personnel’s work enthusiasm andcreativity from salary, and to make scientific research institution toadapt to the market economy environment quickly and to participate in themarket incentive competition as soon as possible.Around this theme, this paper analyzes the basic elements of salarymanagement and the correlations of the various elements in salarymanagement system, and puts forward position management and performancemanagement is the core of institution salary system reform. This articletakes WX scientific research institute for case, chooses the researchangle based on the internal management system of scientific researchinstitution after reform, and brings salary system of position managementand performance management in the management system of modern scientificresearch institutes, and studies how to use effective job value assessmentand performance management. Through the analysis of the problems existingin the current salary management of WX scientific research institute, asalary management improvement scheme is builded,to provide managementguarantee for the goal to establishment of a modern scientific researchinstitution. I hope the paper can do some necessary exploration for theimprovement of the level of salary management in scientific researchindustry and relevant unit, also to provide the reference for otherscientific research institutions salary system reform during the processof transformation at the same time.
