The personality of cadres is a comprehensive organization that include theindividual’s inner psychological qualities and external behavior Cadres specificallyrefers to the people who has certain leadership duties and responsibilities in formalsocial organizations. Study on the personality characteristics of the public trust of cadresand the relationship between public trust of selecting and appointing cadres can not onlyenrich the application of personality psychology theory, but also deepen theunderstanding of the group of cadres and provide a reference for the selection andappointment of cadres.In this study, on the basis of literature analysis and47open-ended questionnairesurveys, reference Wang Deng-feng Chinese Personality Adjective Scale, and117cadres in the implementation of the initial test. Through exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis and reliability and validity of this measurement, the scalewas proved reliable and valid, an investigation of306cadres was then carried out toexplore the personality characteristics of the public trusted cadres and the relationshipbetween public trust of selecting and appointing cadres and use the interview for moreevidence in the last. Main conclusions obtained in the study are as follows:(1) Public trust cadres personality is a complex system, there are five dimensions:integrity and fairness, indifferent and easy-going, smart and elegant, rigorous andself-discipline, outgoing and active.(2) After project Analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factoranalysis and scientific indicators of reliability,validity analysis,the questionnaire thatwas established in this study proved to have good indicators.(3)The cadres in Chongqing score in the middle and upper levels, the dimensionof outgoing and active score highest, followed by indifferent and easy-going, theintegrity and fairness, smart and elegant and rigorous and self-discipline. Cadres ofeducation, the marital situation,the serving time, the position of rank and nature ofthe job have different degrees of significant difference in the total score and thedimension of personality characteristics.(4)There exists a different degree of correlation between the personalitycharacteristics of the public trusted cadres public trust of selecting and appointingcadres. The personality characteristics of the public trusted cadres total score and its dimensions have different degree of positive correlation with public trust of selectingand appointing cadres total score, cognition, experience,overall cognitive, resultscognition, positive experience, have no significant correlation with procedurescognitive (except indifferent and easy-going has a significant positive correlation withprocedures cognition), negative experience is not significant; Indifferent andeasy-going has a significant effect for predicting personality characteristics of the publictrusted cadres total score, cognition, experience, overall awareness, the results ofcognition, positive experience. Integrity and fairness has a significant effect onpredicting the results on dimension cognition.In summary, the personality of the cadres is significant in improving the selectionand appointment of cadres. In this study,multiple angles,multiple methods were usedto verify the cadres’ personality structure and its characteristics, and the relationshipbetween the public trust of selecting and appointing cadres and the cadres’ personalitycharacteristics. All of this pointed out the direction for further research..
