Human beings are composed of man and woman. The women havebeen holding up half the sky all along, which is especially true of theMongolian family and society. As an important integrant of the Mongolianculture, the labor skills for the women in the pastoral areas of Mongolianethnic group contain rich ethnic culture and cover the various traditional skills.While creating ethnic culture, they carry on forward the culture throughinstructions, imperceptible influence and operational demonstration. In thehistory as long as several thousand years, the labor skills education for thewomen in the pastoral areas of Mongolian ethnic group has accumulated andsummarized the rich labor skills and experience, thus much literature on thelabor skills for women in many pastoral areas has come into being.Undergoing a long historical evolution and handed down generation bygeneration, the experience and literature have become the excellent culture ofthe Mongolian ethnic group and or even the whole Chinese nation. They areworthy of our careful study, which is of great theoretical and practicalsignificance. In this article, by taking Wulanmaodu Town for example, theauthor did an analysis and investigation to the labor skills education for thewomen in the pastoral areas in various aspects.This article is mainly composed of the6parts of preface, the4chaptersof body and the epilogue.In the preface for Chapter1, the author gave an introduction to thebackground of the topic, elaborated on the goal and significance for choosingsuch a topic, did recollection and comment on its current research at homeand abroad, stated the methods adopted for this research and gave definitionsof its terms.In Chapter2, the author gave an outline introduction to WulanmaoduTown and the main contents of the labor skills education for the women in thepastoral areas of Mongolian ethnic group, mainly elaborating on the3aspects of cooking skills, production skills and the skills of making arts and crafts.In Chapter3, the author made a further analysis of the main modes of thelabor skills education for the women in the contemporary pastoral areas ofMongolian ethnic group, giving an outline description of the following4aspects: family education, school education, education through practice andmaster-to apprentice education.In Chapter4, on the basis of the author’s field research in WulanmaoduTown, she pointed out that the labor skills education for the women in thecontemporary pastoral areas of Mongolian ethnic group had initiative,cooperative and popular features. Focusing on its limitedness, she did analysisfrom the3aspects of fragile, optional and scattered natures.In Chapter5, the author analyzed the significance of developing thelabor skills education for the women in the contemporary pastoral areas ofMongolian ethnic group. First of all, it has a far-reaching significance forincreasing their financial income. Meanwhile, it can also serve to improve thenational confidence as an effective carrier of cultural heritage. Secondly, shemade reference to the labor skills education for the women in thecontemporary pastoral areas of Mongolian ethnic group and elaborated on thechallenges it faces under the impact of market economy and different cultures.Thirdly, she demonstrated how to better develop the labor skills education forthe women in the pastoral areas from the aspects of the government, societyand individual. Finally, she pointed out that the traditional labor skillseducation should draw on the modern techniques and that the governmentshould promulgate the relevant policies and rules to protect the traditionallabor skills education and build up a fine social environment in themeanwhile.In the epilogue, the author did a summary of the whole article.
